It's the reply all people who get on my nerves. Also people who send them with no subject line (IPhone users usually). Also when someone is trying to located someone urgently people who reply: "he's not in here!".

People who send out messages to the whole department / division / company should put the distribution list in the bcc address box. That way people can’t reply to all. Otherwise, you get a dozen people that will write “don’t reply to all”. Then someone else will send the same message and then another and another etc etc

we received an email from a local authority last week. Instead of putting the 392 email addresses from their suppliers list into the "bcc" section, and "undisclosed recipients" into the "to" box, they put the lot in the cc box.
So I now have their whole suppliers list. It makes interesting reading. I wrote back and thanked them for the email and asked if they had a gdpr policy. |
