Grady latest

Leicester have apparently bid £4.5m + add ons if promoted. and there are other clubs interested.

Pearce is no doubt on the phone to Sunderland offering him for  £2m asap.

Think we will see Grady do well elsewhere, but he's cursed here. If we can cut our losses and use the money to facilitate a couple of permanent additions, he needs to go.

That's not a bad offer really. It's difficult to say that given how much we paid for him, but he's rarely shown any indication that he likes being here and he spends a lot of the time injured.

Seems low, but only based on the old Grady.

He is so frustrating.

Any idea when he is likely to be fit again? Can't see how he might pass a medical at the moment.

Indeed - fortunately our relegation and his lack of any meaningful contributions means we are unlikely to have paid more than the initial £12m we paid them. If we can recover close to even half of that we’ve done well.

Grady, O’Shea and TGH leaving for around £13m isn’t terrible given our present situation, and only really weakens us in defence given recent involvements. It should give Carlos the chance to add a couple players for small fees. Let’s hope we’ve been scouring leagues one and two for some potential

If we could get that sort of fee for Diangana it probably wouldn't be a bad return considering how little he has achieved in 4 years at the club. He's never been the same since getting that injured at Blues in December 2019 and really has only had a particularly effective 4 month period at the club when he first joined.

It's strange how some players can still receive such an amount of goodwill from the crowd despite being so relatively poor for a sustained period of time yet someone like Grant, who arguably has done more the club in terms of his goals in the 2021/22 season has just never been taken to by the fans.

The 25-year-old, who is currently working his way back to fitness with a return to training later in August, is a target for several clubs as Albion look to bring in funds.
The winger, an initial £12million rising to £18million recruit in 2020, is believed to be valued at around £7million by the club.
Premier League new-boys Burnley have Diangana on their radar, but it is understood the Albion man is not top of the Clarets' wanted list.
Leicester and Leeds, both preparing for a Championship campaign, are also suitors.
There is also more surprising interest from the big-spending football contingent in Saudi Arabia, who are keen to bring British players to their game among some of the leading world stars.

If those 3 and the Saudis are after him. 7 million is shit.

We need to get our 12 mill back in some way.

It wouldnt be the worst thing if the add ons are substantial. I think Leicester will probably win the league

I think we have to accept he’s not worth what we paid for him to clubs in the U.K. We need to wrap him up in cotton wool for the next few weeks, prove he’s over his injury and flog him for as much cash as possible to the Saudis…

Then again, the Saudis will happily just pay us a million and give 10 to Lai (again)
