Just said in another thread that 5/4 on us finishing in the bottom half feels a lock.

I’ve had that with Wolves to be relegated and Charlton and Stockport to be promoted from their respective division.

Fiver pays £745.

As things stand I'm surprised it's odds against. This is the worst Albion squad I've seen since we got relegated to the old third tier.

Can’t imagine it will be for much longer.

I think it depends on recruitment. If this kid from Brighton is decent and we get a couple more in then I’m hopeful of top half. If we don’t get anyone else in, then it’s hard not to see a slog. The division is so much stronger this year. Leeds, Southampton and Leicester replacing Luton, Sheff Utd and Burnley. Ipswich, Plymouth and Wednesday replacing financially fucked Reading and Wigan plus Blackpool.

As it stands our striking options must be the worst on record with only BTA. If anybody can come up with anything worse I would like to know, even when we were in the third tier we had Taylor and Hunt

Apart from being 2 strikers short we still have enough to compete. Anyone only has to look at fucking Luton being promoted. Luton FFS. Hard working squad of lower league players assembled on a shoe string budget. No one would have swapped any of their squad for ours at the start of last season.

We need goal scorers though. That for me is key. And we need luck with injuries too. Last season was a joke on that front.

Plus no decent defenders. We are going to concede an average of two goals per game.

It's only our midfield that is fit for purpose.

If we kick off on Saturday with Ajayi and Kipre at CB I'm going to leave my seat in the stand and get back on the coach. Save myself the heartache of watching it.
