A season of transition awaits
#1
I think it is clear now that at least a couple more outgoings will happen before the end of August to keep the club going, that any chance we may had for playoffs are a pipe dream.

We soon will have no goalkeeper apart from a promising youngster,
We have still no striker, as the only ones we have are either raw, BTA ( do not be surprised if blues bid for him as they wanted him before us) or always crocked, Dike ( do not even get me started on him)

These are two ends of the pitch that is crucial obviously.

It is now clear from the rumors of the bids we accept etc that the people running the club are out of their depth, and do not get me started on the owners.

For me it is crucial we stay up this year, but it is now obvious we must be sold as soon as possible or I cannot see how this time next year we will keep going.

This season for me is transition, bringing in youngsters etc and build again with hopefully an owner who ( whilst will not pour millions in) will talk to us, and have a long term plan

It is worrying times at the moment and I dread to think how toxic the home atmosphere will become, and quickly, if the results are bad. I am not sure holding a mobile phone with a light on will not be enough for some ( though I am not advocating violence etc)

Carlos stands between us and League one IMO. Bizarrely I even think he could get us into the play-offs although that hope has been seriously eroded since lunchtime today.

I'd gladly murder Lai and his cohorts  .... metaphorically that is.

It’s ok saying play the kids but they have to be good enough and I don’t really see much from them that shows they are regular first team players inc TGH and, unfortunately, gk Griffiths.
Selling players that are key to us on the cheap and not even replacing them adequately spells disaster…

We can but hope someone with ambitions will buy out these charlatans who are breaking our great club.
It’s all we have left.

I am holding onto the fact I was told that Lai and his mates will be gone by Xmas. I hope that true.

I know we could get worse, but can we really

That is all I am holding onto for this season, a buy out and a plan moving forward with an owner who wants to at least talk to us

It’s not just the owners though is it? It’s the people who run the club day to day. There’s no Jenkins, Peace, Ashworth. Just people with zero track record except in Pearce’s case total and utter failure from the department that he was meant to lead (recruitment).

Palmer was wonderful last year and worth far more to us than £3m. 20 points I would say over a season. Griffiths is a wonderful prospect and worth far more than £3m to potential suitors yet not worth replacing Palmer to us. Someone like Peace would have been all over that getting v maximum value with little effect on the first team.

Totally agree. The likes of miles should be nowhere near MD role he has zero experience and is totally out of his depth. I’ve questioned action 4 Albion tonight because it seems since their meeting with Pearce and miles there’s definitely a mood change with their stance.

I’ve been saying it for a while but we are fucked!

Thing is this can galvanise us as a fan base.

I’ve never been less interested in a preseason but we’ve got to be within 3 seasons of the lowest point now (buy out depending) and we will now have a chance to remember that The Albion is more than about pissing off the big boys with the odd victory and is all about us as one big Baggie family.
