We're not the only club who are in turmoil

I found this a bit of an eye opener. Pre-season pessimism or are all of these clubs really up against it?

Simply there’s bugger all money in the Championship bar the teams relegated.
There’s also little difference between the teams, as we know.
I’ve an old Norwich mate and he is utterly convinced that they are going down the pan.
You only have to look at this dump to see the general football fan mindset.

Blackburn who we face on the opening day look a bit of a mess. Lots in the Championship struggling financially. Unless you have parachute payments or rich owners like Stoke

There's a team in Wolverhampton in trouble.

A rich owner means very little if they can’t spend it under FFP rules.  Stoke will never go bust but they aren’t allowed to spend beyond FFP limits.

It's worth pointing out that at the start of last season ourselves and Boro were pretty optimistic of a good start, both were around the bottom after 13 games or so. It's all very unpredictable.

And yet the 3 relegated teams are probably mentioned the most in the thread.

The only certainty is the unpredictability.

football fans, we're a pessimistic lot. Things like this only re-enforce it, don't prove anything about the state of a given club

Are we in turmoil? I wouldn't say we are.
