There is some more money in US 'soccer' now and it gives him a chance at a good quality of life over there. Tennessee is the size of England and has a 6m population, if he can put up with the odd tornado and higher chance of getting shot then it is a very good lifestyle.

Shame would have been a good for us IMO.

For a player like him, the MLS won't be a huge adjustment. Players who have been at the very top level find it tough to adjust to using economy class flights and sharing more economy hotels!
