Chalobah

Nathaniel Chalobah could be the latest departure from #wba. The former Chelsea midfielder has flown to Israel ahead of a possible permanent move to Maccabi Haifa. Would be another exit to lower West Brom’s wage bill and allow Carlos Corberan some more room to manoeuvre

That was Percy’s tweet

We continue to ship out a lot of weight with minimal damage to our first 11. Hopefully at some point some slack will enable us to balance the squad out as well

Exactly what we didn’t need when he came in last season. Instead of a box to box, forward thinking midfield player with energy we get an inferior version of what we’d already got. Sat in the half way line & contributed little

Good signings in that window would have got us in the play offs. Very strange signing

Mowatt, if he’s still got it, is potentially a much better option. We definitely need more goal threat from midfield & he’s hopefully got more going forward

We wanted O'Brien but when that didn't happen we settled for Chalobah, who as you say, wasn;t different enough from what we had. Not an awful player, and before injury was starting to look ok, but that was it, OK, and not different enough as an option.

I may be being a bit hopeful but I would like to see O'brien here if we could agree a loan ,but feel Forest would want a permanent sale considering they paid £10 mill for him .

Yep. A bit of dosh for him and a fair lump of wages off the bill. Sounds good.

Or maybe no dosh, and we agree to subsidise his wages for 6yrs, knowing us.

He could be a big hit or a little miss.
