Writing players off after a few games.

Why do fans write off players as useless after just a few games.
De Byune at Chelsea crap get rid look at him now
Salah again Chelsea crap get rid  say no more
Grealish man city crap get rid integral to there system now
Molumby wba crap don’t take up the loan option. Fans player of season

Some players are lucky and integrate straight away others it takes time and some are just crap.
But we shouldn’t write them all of after a few months, unless your Burke of course.

Indeed.

It's also the glee some fans have when a player is shit too, like almost dissapointed if they become good.

Usually we write them off before they've even signed.

Or they choose to retire. Works both ways

Whilst hyping up the signings of every other similar level club.

When the deal falls through and it turns out to be just a rumour,  the cheap nasty player becomes the one who got away!  Big Grin

A lot of people expect players to come in and have an immediate impact and it just isn’t how it works. Molumby has benefitted hugely from a full season of football, had the Alzate/Onomah deals gone through he’d have probably been in and out of the team like last year. Especially going forward some patience is going to be required with younger players, TGH regularly goes from being good enough to useless but never gets a run of starts. Caleb Taylor and Ashworth will no doubt be better off for their seasons in L1 and may be important players for us, whereas in previous years we’d have kept hold of them as backup (Field, Leko, Edwards, Harper) or signed experienced free transfers to play ahead of them.

Good post. I wasn’t a fan of Molumby for a while but he has the balls to take responsibility and that always puts a player very much in credit.
