YESSSSSS!!!! The fuckin' stupid bint has gone!

Finally got it into her thick head that Scotland independence would not function correctly nor be of any benefit for Scotland!

Ridiculous, single minded, self indulgent, ulterior motive crusade that would have crippled Scotland.

Good riddance!

How does one forget if they signed off on their husband giving £100k to a political party?

An interesting array of posts on this thread.

Not specifically on Sturgeon, but I think in general we have two types of politician, those who seek power for what it gives them and those who want to seek change.

The former tend to do everything to retain power.

The latter will willingly give up power, when they no longer believe that they can be a vehicle for positive change.

Sadly we have too many politicians who belong to the former category than the latter.

It's why it is good policy to have a limit on how long someone can lead a country or indeed a political party.

Agree with all except limits on time for leaders, the brutality of politics reminds even the likes of Thatcher and Blair that its time to go

Can’t help feeling this may help Labour unless the SNP have a better leader waiting in the wings?

She inherited a very strong Scottish independence movement from Salmond. She threw it all away for identity politics and her shocking attempt to stitch up Salmond on false charges.

Define ‘throwing it all away’. I’m under the impression the party is as strong as ever in Scotland

Oh shove off Derek. This is why many posters rarely come into your domain on the politics board because you peddle your one dimensional view of things.

Economists all over Britain widely regarded Scottish independence to be a massive deficiency and harm. to Scotland itself. Nothing at all to do with Brexit.
