If Button gets the nod Wednesday CC will need to come out in his pre game presser, announce it and announce for the fans to get behind him as without this he’ll be on egg shells from the first whistle, as will us in the stands

Even with everyone supporting him the eggshells would still be walked on, our defence know how shit he is. You can see by the way they act with him in goal.

There's giving players a boost and a chance but Button has shown so many times he's not up to it. If Button has the best game of his career, he's still going to revert to type after and we can't afford to write off the next few weeks until Palmer comes back

Button shouldn't play for the club again. He makes too many basic mistakes (for Blues second goal, re-visit Swansea's first against us).

I'm no fan of Griffiths but if he is officially next in line then he needs to play on Wednesday, regardless of the "circumstances".

Our keeper also nearly conceded on Blues 1st corner, that beauty of an inswinger that got headed over. Such a substandard performance simply cannot be repeated and does anyone think it won't. Even if he played a blinder v Blackburn, he is still an accident in waiting next time around. No vilification nor personal abuse necessary, he isn't good enough and CC has to accept that and make the best of what we have. IMO, recall Ted Cann as no.2 and start Griffiths. It's a risk but better that than the inevitable.

I noticed that Griffiths played in the cup away at Spurs a just before his recall, so he's also had recent experience of playing in a big match. Hopefully CC will give him the nod on Wednesday.
