Deserve to go down Everton, been long overdue really

Lai has spunked about £200m in the last 6 years, so it's not like he's not actually spent some of the money (recouped approx £115m). Obviously that's with us yo-yoing and being hampered by COVID and the deadly whammy of BFS, Val then Bruce...

I read that Everton has spunked £500m since 2016, but obviously that's been consistent Prem level...

It's probably fairly comparable in the same timeframe, given league differences? Then again, with Lai it's not about the spending really.

I've not included how much we've wasted getting in and then paying off inept managers either, that's probably close to £10m.

No, Moshiri has put in £500m+ of his own money, and plenty of other cash through his mate Usmanov.

Every penny we have spent we’ve raised ourselves… Everton have spent their Prem money and then a fortunate from their owner. Absolutely no comparison between us and them.

Everton are very much in the same group as Villa, Newcastle and Brighton for spunking owners.

Indeed. So much so that their plasterer's radio looks like The Snowman.

Don’t think I’ve ever read a post with such a fundamental misunderstanding of what’s happening! Moshiri has been one of the heaviest investors in world football, never mind the Prem. Lai on the other hand has taken money out. Everton fans aren’t moaning about the money he’s put in, they just think it’s been spent recklessly. We on the other hand are complaining that our thieving bastard has not only put nothing in, he’s taken (taking) out. They’re complaining that the caviar isn’t quite at the right temperature, we’re queuing in the food bank. It really isn’t comparable.

This could well be the stupidest thing I’ve ever read.

Not really MassD, no comparison with Everton at all. Lai bought us with other people's money and has only spent what the club itself generates (and badly, although that does compare!). He has also reneged on the inherited 4M loan, possibly trousered 2M and has lent some lame duck company a further 5M of Albion's earnings leaving us short enough to need a payday loan. I wouldnt mind Everton's owners chucking something our way.
