Johnson and co were defended over the slow Covid response and dubious PPI deals for months
The obligatory ‘they all lie’ when yet another plethora of lies have been told by previous incarnations and current cabinet
The weak as pish whataboutery over Kier drinking a beer whilst 10 Downing Street partied on numerous occasions
The general whataboutery by some, that granted has become less as time has gone on and it’s nigh on impossible to defend them

Who defended Johnson and co over dodgy PPE deals? On the Covid response there were mistakes made but then some people wanted the whole world to shut down for two years with everyone hiding behind their sofas.

It's really strange when someone, on one hand, posts a request to "show when any of them individually have been defended on here then you're more than welcome. Or even just one would be a start." and then accuses others of "wanted the whole world to shut down for two years with everyone hiding behind their sofas."

People have defended Johnson many times for his many mistakes, but I really don't recall anyone wanting to shut the whole world down for two years.

Entirely comfortable with how PPE deals were done was how one person put it.
The remarks about hiding behind the sofa is ill informed nonsense. No one wanted lockdowns but some peoples lives potentially depended upon it until the vaccine, which for some was only available in Feb this year… wimps. How about the ludicrously slow response when we watched Italy overwhelmed by Covid? Or Johnson telling people to take it on the chin and shaking hands with potentially sick Covid patients? Or putting Covid patients back into care homes? Or Johnson failing to attend Cobra meetings? Or leaving frontline staff with little or no protection etc? Mistakes is one way to put it…

No I didn’t. I said those clinically vulnerable should have the same rights to lead as normal a life as possible and masks and social distancing measures etc were not much to ask until as many people who could have the vaccine were able to have it, including vulnerable disabled children who had to wait until Feb this year for the vaccine to be available in the U.K. Unlike many other countries across the globe.

It had nothing to do with being scared or whatever other school boy criticism it was about protecting the most vulnerable and not leaving their families with the choice between putting their family members at risk of serious illness or a lifetime without the freedom others could again enjoy.

No I didn’t. What a crock of shit! I said those clinically vulnerable should have the same rights to lead as normal a life as possible and masks and social distancing measures etc were not much to ask until as many people who could have the vaccine were able to have it. This included making the vaccine available to vulnerable disabled children who had to wait months after numerous other countries children to have the vaccine (Feb this year). Wimps, fancy them and their families not wanting to be seriously ill or making their family members seriously ill or potentially die.

Yes, you did Dekka. I sense you'd be far happier in China where they take Covid seriously.

No I didn’t. No one wanted to be locked down but some people had not had the opportunity to have the vaccine at that point whilst the clamour to get back to normal to save ‘Big Dog’ was made a priority.

You defended / were ok with the awful procurement process that has cost the country billions… and had a hissy fit about wearing a mask to protect others. You also campaigned for potentially/ arguably the UKs worst government in living memory.

The evidence is all to be seen on here. Every time there was talk of opening up Derek was against it. Now, he had his reasons, but he was in favour of a much longer lockdown which may have protected the more vulnerable but would also have had negative impacts on others' mental health, the economy and so on. It's ridiculous to suggest otherwise.
