When you take all of the resource and experience out of the police force what do you expect?

Over three weeks since the final report was published on 20th October. Has anyone seen it referred to in the news?

No? Me neither. You can bet if it was a report into one transgender activist saying they had had their feelings hurt, the Beeb would have it as lead item on four days of main news bulletins.

Here is some observations for you:

The Inquiry focused on the following six geographic areas: St Helens, Tower Hamlets, Swansea, Durham, Bristol and Warwickshire. Not, you may notice, from Rotherham, Rochdale, Telford, Barnsley, Oldham, Bristol or Burton-on-Trent. Where the worst of the gangs operated.
The Government refuse to disclose the characteristics of the gangs as “it is not in the public’s interest”. Like fuffing hell it’s not!
Only one victim per area was interviewed.(and treated badly during the process, according to the reports of the charity supporting them).

Still think a Public Enquiry isn’t required?

A how can you use the excuse of ‘lack of resources’ for the disproportionate overuse  and misuse of resources?
Are you suggesting that one of the government’s cut backs was in common sense?

You still haven’t explained how cut backs in 2009 led to lack of action in the two decades before. (Back to the mass ignoring of social distancing laws caused by something which was reported 2 months later)

The government cutbacks directly resulted in experience leaving the force, I’m not certain what common sense has to do with it, if you have inexperienced officers who have a limited pool to gain experience from then the service will, and has, deteriorated.

Your suggestion that crime occurred before 2009 therefore the cuts have nothing to do with it shows how stupidly one-eyed you have become.
