I've seen a fair few people get ticketed for parking 'inside' the double yellows on the road by the Nimmings car park (Clent); usually at weekends. Not so much of late, so perhaps lessons have been learned.

The law is quite clear, parking restriction markings apply to the pavement too.

Only a complete idiot would not understand that.
