My son is flying into Brum later in the week. He's got all day to make it to Oxford, but I expect he'll still be a grumpy fuck when we get there on Sunday. More worryingly, he's flying back from Manchester at 7.10am middle of the following week. That's a very early start for someone giving him a lift to the airport. I wonder who that will be?

I went through it on Friday and it was fine… no line at security and a standard 10 mins or so wait to bag drop.

Whilst the airport is definitely short staffed, a lot of the problem is being caused by people who have forgotten how to travel and are packing big bottles of perfume and shower gel in hand luggage, seem to need help taking an iPad out of their luggage or have feral kids running riot.

Used it a couple weeks ago and the line was massive, but that was down to Brum having only 2 of the 14 security belts open… conveniently all the feedback machines were faulty that day too..
