Looking like they’re likely to drop, but more worryingly it’s come out that Chris Woods transfer fee instalments from Newcastle aren’t going to the club, they’re being used to directly pay off money borrowed to buy the club.

Another “fit and proper” owner, eh.

Still wouldn't discount Leeds from the drop.
Given their financial difficulties Burnley dropping probably best for us.

Absolutely, their budget could well be tighter than ours. Seem to have been purchased off the back of the same pitch JP spun Lai.

Burnley dropping would be great news for us given their relative financial challenges compared with Everton or Leeds.

The Athletic did a really good piece recently on their finances and essentially if they drop they have to pay a large chunk of the loan they used to purchase the club back which will wipe out a large portion of their parachute payments. They’re also losing a lot of players through being out of contract and will have to do a lot of work with a lot less cash.

Jay R has signed a 2 year contract ... wonder what the terms are if relegated?

I think Everton will move out of trouble over the next few games, starting at a tired Leicester today then winning at Watford and home to Brentford and Palace

Burnley dropping would be the best thing for us. However, would love to have Everton go.

Love or hate Burney
They were a financially sound club
Then another bunch of crooks came along despite the powers that be giving the ok
Plunging them into debt within days & more or less ending years of being in that league

Isnt it time those tossers in charge of the Prem League were held to account ?

Its the change of owners that's fucked them up

I will be very sad indeed if Everton aren't relegated, because after all the money they've spent, I would find that very funny indeed.

What has been allowed to happen to Burnley is an utter disgrace.

This, completely.  Simply should not be allowed to happen.
Anyway, regardless of common sense and implications for Albion, I want Dirty Leeds down.
