Can the judges be held accountable in Boxing? Surely their marking can be scrutinised by an external moderator? It seems the only people that saw the fight as a Taylor victory were the two that judged him. What did they see that thousands of others didn't?

I was expecting Catterall to have won by anywhere between 3-6 rounds. When they announced the first judges scorecard a which made it obvious it was a split decision it still seemed incomprehensible.

I’d have more respect for Taylor if he hadn’t insisted on stating he’d won the fight, I suppose that’s the boxing bravado.

They talked about each judge going in front of the BBBC and detailing their scoring and reasoning round by round, I doubt that will happen. I expect they’ll just be demoted like shit referees from the PL - you’re shit go and ruin a few Championship games and when the dust has settled we’ll have you back.

This kid stood aside so Taylor could unify the belts and gets repaid with that.
