Are you lot delusional? Let’s look at the facts A these lot of shitouts haven’t got the balls or skill to get into the play offs B would you back them in 3 high pressure games? Forget this season lads and lasses rebuild next season

just realised we are already two results away from the play offs.

think this season will be over for us very soon unless there is a miraculous turnaround.

Brucey’s plan is clearly to be that team who puts together a late run and gatecrashes the playoffs with momentum.

That’s what we need to get Top 2. Not happening

Thats more and more what i'm thinking. Give Bruce and Gourlay a Summer to clear some out, get some fresh, younger players in and go again. Only issue will be that we will already be behind the three relegated clubs. In theory it will be harder to go up next year than this.

Level on points with Luton and Preston. One ahead of Coventry who have a game in hand. All 3 of these teams have been consistently referred to as terrible and much worse.

What a ridiculous appointment Ismael was, especially when you consider that the arch enemy of the Saudi's (who only ever speak the truth of course) who was basically waiting to sign a contract here, has taken 'Boro from near bottom to a PO position and playing some lovely football.

The stewardship of our Bored is woeful beyond belief.

Bruce is far more experienced and successful, let's hope he can do something with us but of course you need the tools which he has on ''paper'.

Whenever we have achieved promotion I've looked through our team and thought we need 4/5/6.  With Johnstone going we would be seriously looking at 9/10.

Of course we want promotion but unless we can work miracles in the transfer market it would probably be embarassing.

Win on Monday and we're a point off the Playoffs. Season is far from over. Top 6 is very achievable. Top 2 now looks gone.

Cheers Val. Should have been sacked weeks ago!

Whilst play offs are still a possibility, why would anyone want us to be promoted.

There is very little chance of us getting anywhere near a squad capable of competing in the premiership.

And whilst many argue there is a financial incentive,  I suspect we would waste it on a futile attempt to build a squad capable of avoiding relegation.

If we get to the play offs I wouldn't be confident of us winning them. I'm still a bit scared by the two must win games we failed to win at the end of the Bilic promotion season to have any confidence in a successful play off attempt.

Following on from "we're slipping out of play-off contention and it's vital that we get promoted this season, so Val has to go", it now seems to be moving towards "we're not good enough to go up anyway, so there's no point in getting into the play-offs - best to build for next season and change the squad".

Largely because of the fans, Ismael was hounded out 7 months into a 4 year rebuilding project because instant success this season was regarded as non-negotiable, but now that suddenly doesn't matter anymore and we can just write this season off?

Many people were regarding Ismael as the problem when he was here and his tactics were holding the players back, but now he's gone some of those people have switched to saying it's the players who aren't good enough and we need a big clear-out.

Double standards and/or revisionism at play here?
