+1 I was a Harrier in my youth and Ron was an absolute inspiration.

I was there back in the day. Good memories. That cinder track, and road running around lost city, circuits at Willingsworth. 

The steam in the wooden shower blocks was unbelievable - visibility of 2 to 3 feet!

RIP indeed.
Saw him many times at races back in the day and he was always spoken of in revered terms.
Recognise a few from the team photo with the late legendary Andy Holden holding the cup!
