I find them useful if I'm going to a do at someone's house and I know it'll be a beery sesh, so I slip 1 or 2 in amongst the 7 or 8 bottles. It makes the world of difference the next day.

The Paulaner alcohol free is a decent one.

NB Currently I'm necking a Cobra.

I hope he wrote that article at the time and not the morning after… if my memory serves me correctly 3-4 pints of Alpine Lager used to cause the most chronic of morning after shits… only matched by drinking Mythos which completely empties ne.
