Furlong - Better yesterday.
TGH

Palmer. Taylor. Reach. Castro. Diangana. Phillips. Cleary,

Really light in midfield & defence if we get any in game injuries or more likely sendings off.

Watching Bartley hobbling along yesterday I wouldn't be overly confident in him being fit. Dike will probably on the bench as he is being brought up to speed in training. We could easily line up something like this:

Button

Livermore
Clarke
Townsend

Furlong
Gardner-Hickman
Molumby
Reach

Robinson
Phillips
Grant

Robinson Dike Grant

What I think Val will pick:

Unless he has a brother you need to get rid of one Townsend mate.  Big Grin

You don't rate Clarke then? I think he is the best of that bunch.  A fit O'Shea would then replace Bartley, for me.

I think he's alright, yeh. But think we need 2 more capable ball playing defenders, with more pace in the back 3. That means only playing one of the 'big ens' and Bartley has been Mr Consistent this year and is a real leader on the pitch. If we could get him for a decent price, I would sign him in a heart beat.

Yes, in a 3 we don't need 3 great lumps busting to be first to get their head on it. A Jonny Evans type would be a dream. Jake should do the job at this level.

Not sure Dike will be starting….

Valerien Ismael on Daryl Dike:

“At the minute Daryl Dike is on his own programme, we have a four-week plan for him. The first week he had been doing individual training with our sports science department to make sure that he had a good build-up.”

“This week he is training with the team with the purpose of building him up for the game at QPR. He’s at a good level. He played with consistency last year and last season. But he’ll need two or three weeks to get at a better level to be able to compete. #wba
