A few things you missed, the lady has lived in Australia for the last 18 years, only in the USA to conduct a trial. As nowhere else would consider it.
Andrew made just one mistake, he didn't pay her enough to keep her quiet.

She was 17 at the time. Of legal age in The UK, but underage in New York, where it's 18.
