FA Cup 4th round day, 1980/81 season. Apparently we are one of the back-up matches. I must admit I don't remember this particular match being on TV at the time. I've certainly never seen any footage of it.

Why do they need a back up match for a game that was played 40 years ago? In case the preferred match gets snowed off?

If it was that match I was there. Remember it well as after that long journey I needed the loo and was told there wasn’t a ladies loo in the away end. A steward offered to clear the men’s so I could go but after looking at my face a police officer escorted me and another female supporter around the ground to a ladies loo!!!

I've got about 30 of these recorded on the box. Great to watch on a bleak night with nothing else on. I long for muddy pitches, crunching tackles, Brian Moore's comb-over and stupid letters from A Dick, 5 Letsbee Avenue, Letchworth, complaining about never seeing Rochdale's goals.
