An old football chant from the 70’s
#1
has just popped in to my head from nowhere and I can’t remember it all.

It was something along the lines of;

Come to the Albion, you will see
Answell’s brewery, M&B
We don’t drink whisky and we don’t drink wine.
We are the .........<cor remember the ending>

Can anyone remember this and if so, what was it as no doubt I’ve got other bits wrong.
I told you I’ll be back

Albion and we do just fine?

God knows, it's a 'new' one on me, especially as I never went in the 70s...

I though that was a Blues song. (Birmingham City as opposed to Muddy Waters).

Come to Birmingham and you will see
Ansell’s brewery, M&B
We don’t drink whisky and we don’t drink rum.
We are the Blues boys, from Brum

Banks's Bitter and M&B
We don’t drink whisky and we don’t drink rum.

That was the song, but, bless 'em the noses failed to realise that M&B was never in their city.  Smethwick was, famously, the home of the brewery.
