Yup, so was I, it's just the irony of how well we played and it took us up to our loftiest ever heights in the prem era, yet for all that people dream of being in the promised land, the support was miniscule. I know we were messed about by an early kick off and tv but we've taken far more to Tranmere midweek in winter when we were truly terrible.

I was a drunken mess in Bilbao that weekend… 
Turns out the locals like Sunderland and didn’t take nicely to me celebrating our goals. 
Think I’m still a bit hungover from that weekend… those free pouring Basque-tards.

I met a Basque Albion fan in San Sebastián. He liked us because our kit was similar to La Real's, imagine something similar in Bilbao.

Also, only part of the world outside the UK and Ireland that has good and proper cider.
