Since the famous 4-3 comeback at Upton Park.
Scary how fast time goes. A baby born that day could have their first (legal) pint today ?

Remember it well. Some fans by us were going back down the pub after 20 minutes when we were 3 down.

Similar to Baggiebloke, we were late and heard their first 2 go in while queuing. Then I needed the gents and heard the 3rd. First action on reaching our seats was 2 of my mates pulling 2 Albion fans apart as they had had a disagreement. What a game!
You could sense the comeback was on, their fans were so tense and when that numpty Defoe got sent off I reckon we all expected to get something. At 3-3 and James punched the ball out to an unmarked Lee Hughes.....bedlam!
It was a bit fruity in the pub afterwards, as I remember, we only had a couple then headed back to Marylebone.

Yes, what a fab day.
I have stated previously that it is my favourite, or at least near the top of the list, Albeyun game.
I have to say though, unlike other things when dates are recalled, it does actually feel like eighteen years ago to me.

I've only been to Upton Park twice (4-3 and the 1-0 Roberts game) and both times some fugger had chucked themselves under a train so took ages to get home.

Amazing day, was literally on the front row of the away end, well pissed off with the view when we first got in
Superb in the 2nd half as we gave David James pelters for his performance as Hughesy smacked in the winner

Remember it well ,if I had drove down I would have walked out a 3-0,but went on official coach so would have just had to sit and wait ,imagine doing that and then hearing the comeback and you couldn't get back in .Great day in the end but took ages to get away after the game .

Incredible that SGM would have been sacked had we lost that game
