I moaned about the quality of the squad. Not because it's average for the championship, I've always made clear that I think it's one of the best squad, but because it should be stronger than it is IMO for the position we were starting at having just come down from the Premier League with parachute payments and Pereira on our books.
I don't think anyones said that our squad isn't one of the strongest in the Championship, but it would have taken an absolutely monumental screw up for it not to be given the personnel we had at the start of the window. The board doesn't deserve credit for not weakening us so much that we're still competitive. Anything other than a mass sale would have left us with one of the strongest squads in the league.
