Funnybyou should ask.

30 seconds ago in the 4th minute of stoppage time hes just scored one of the best free kicks ive seen in years!!

25 yards out and he curled a ferocious effort into the top bin. Ran away and did a double summersault!!

Half time 2 up.

Ive watched Castro carefully this half and im stood next to 2 scouts. After he curled the free kick in we got chatting and they both said thats got him out of jail!

Hes had a very strange game. Hes been very very physical. So much so that the ref called him over along with our captain Taylor to tell him to calm down. Hes really put himself about....... But...... Hes lost possession countless times, hes show boated and had the ball taken off him and according to my scouting buddies his footwork needs work! (whatever that means?)

Anyway hes scored a worldie and im thoroughly enjoying myself!

3 - 0 up

Jamie Andrews penalty after Windsor was fouled.

4-0 up

Big Mo Faal

5 - 0 up

Owen Windsor with an absolute worldy of a left foot volley into the top bin!

6-0 up

Big Mo Faal with his 2nd.

Two goals in a minute for the rampant baggies!

I take it Southampton haven't adopted the hoof it away at all costs tactic and have, instead, tippy tappied their way to defeat

We were terrific tonight. We were everything you'd want from our first team performance.

Started on the front foot and scored a well worked goal after a minute. We then spent the rest of the first half working our socks off whilst Saints had more of the ball but we pressed really well and were very physical. At the back we were solid and limited them to a few scraps and going forward we mixed it up well with lots of long diagonals and looked to counter them. Castro then scores a beauty of a free kick and we go in 2 up at half time.

2nd half we came out and after 3 minutes we carved them open with some one touch passing and got a penalty to put us 3 up. From there on in we were bloody brilliant. We bullied them all over the pitch and we played some really nice football. Kept it on the deck and zipped it about but never over played. Finished our chances really well and could easily of had a couple more goals.

Not one player got less than a 7 out of 10 tonight. A few special mentions:

Cann - Yet another very good Albion keeper coming through. All saints fans around me thought he was excellent.

Texiera - Played right wing back tonight (hes normally in midfield) and had a brilliant game. Up and down the wing all night and never backed out of a challenge. Looked very good.

Castro - Mixed bag. Massive unit and so much self confidence bordering on arrogance. Much more combative than I thought he would be which given his size is a massive plus. He ate the ground up at times and has a brilliant engine. The downside was his flicks and tricks at the wrong times landed us in trouble on more than a few occassions. He settled down 2nd half and when he keeps things simple he looks a very good player.

Caleb Taylor - The pick of the 3 centre halfs. Very composed and brought the ball out well with some decent passing. Going to be a very good player. Tbf Shotton and Joshua looked very good too.

Rico - Our most skillful player. Great balance, got his head up and his movement was excellent. Played right in a front 3 tonight.

Ha. Good point.

Cann - 8.5 - commanded his box, took every cross, pulled off very good saves and organised his defence well.

Texeira - 9 - My MOTM. For a midfielder he put in a perfect RWB performance full of energy.

Shotton - 8 - Very steady and unfussy.

Taylor - 9 - Lead the team brilliantly and Marshalled the defence.

Joshua - 7 - Looked a bit cumbersome on the ball but didnt put a foot wrong. Massive unit!

Ashworth - 8 - Neat and tidy and whipped in some decent crosses. Had Saints best player up against him and had him in his pocket.

Andrews - 8 - Very busy performance in the centre of the park. Kept it ticking over and never stopped.

Castro - 8 - Very entertaining. Amazing goal. Huge engine and smashed into challenge after challenge but overplayed at times and tried flicks and tricks at the wrong time. Was very good 2nd half and ran the midfield and kept things more simple to much great effect.

Fellows - 8 - Played left of the front 3. Created numerous chances and caused them trouble. Set up the furst goal well. Tired and was subbed in the 2nd half.

Windsor - 8 - Good little player. Quick and tough little bastard. Won the penalty and scrored a worldy of a left foot volley. Good number 9 performance.

Rico - 8 - Very skillful and has real vision. Dropped his shoulder and went past his man on numerous occassions. Scored and played well.

Subs

Faal - 9 - On for 15 mins and scored twice. A proper handful.

King - 7 - not on long

Reyes - 7 - Looked lively.

So, Kevin Moist sounds like he plays every game like he did against Arsenal.

Also, did either or both of the scouts smell like fish?

And what are all of the players families like and their chances of playing for England next week?

(PS I reckon we need to adopt a negative approach to scoring the stiffs / kids on here, start marking them backwards so 1 is best and 10 worst, but not tell anyone else, I reckon this bored could well be the Seals main Albion Youth scouting system)
