The vast majority didn’t have a work’s pension
.
The overwhelming number of “decent jobs” now, do not require a degree.
Yep, they had, really secure jobs, from which you could be arbitrarily fired without recourse and little to no redundancy.
No minimum or living wage.

People in the 60s and 70s didn’t work hard at school then?
So, no one under 55 voted for leaving the E.U.?
We were ‘saddled’ with the decision to join the EEC and there was no vote, at all, to have a say!
We were ‘saddled’ with
the Maastricht Treaty, again, not public say!
We were ‘saddled’ with the Schengen Agreement and again no public plebiscite.
We were ‘saddled’ with the country engaging in illegal and needless wars.
We were ‘saddled’ with foundation hospitals and school academies.  I don’t think you can use the argument that the older generations were NOT ‘saddled’ with decisions that they didn’t support or were not to their advantage.
Are you arguing that we should only be making decisions which are to the advantage of one demographic at the expense of another group?

Try and consider that people who voted against your view re the EU were thinking what was best for the generations after them.”
just because you think an idea is “idiotic” doesn’t necessarily make you right.

Ok…I imagine this will upset a few on here but the point is generational not on a personal / individual. Try and remember that when potentially replying.

What?   (And I get accused of "Sh*t" replies)
So, your posts aren’t just meant to “upset” a few on here, your pleased to upset, misrepresent and be disrespectful to entire generations.

Again, no rebuttals to the points in my post!

Just explain, what, in the 70s and 80s, could the average person on the street have done to alleviate today’s ‘problems’ ?

Perhaps we shouldn’t have had the unions constantly agitating and damaging the economy for all those terrible increases in terms and conditions and perks you now enjoy. (See it is all Red Robbo’s and Len McCluskey’s fault)

Perhaps if we had kept wages low for the working class there wouldn’t have been a growth of home ownership so keeping prices down (supposedly). People wouldn’t have been able to get on the property ladder then. Oh, hang on, you want younger people to be able to afford their own home! Bit of a dichotomy there. You want all these young uns to be able to buy their own home but all these young uns wanting to buy their own home pushes prices up due to supply and demand. We could release more Green Belt for housing but no, hang on again, you don’t won’t the government to force the use of Green Belt (which you erroneously tried to infer was happening in a previous thread)

Now, please, pretty please, how about addressing some of my observations and defending your views.

Ok…I imagine this will upset a few on here but the point is generational not on a personal / individual. Try and remember that when potentially replying.
