I cant help but feel, much like Jonas, he would have been a bit of a liability with VAR. Both were far too "hands on"

He was, again like Jonas, collosal for us at time and an absolute bargain at 4m. Hopefully we can find another.

Have I misunderstood something or are you talking about Hegazi?!

At no point ever, would the word 'colossus' be anywhere near the spectrum when describing him.

Distinctly average.

You can debate the merits of whether selling Hegazi was a good decision or not until the cows come home…

But realistically he wouldn’t have made any difference to whether we went down or not. He wouldn’t have made us 15 points better.

Yes Olsson was far better for us at his peak than Hegazi ever was.

Considerably.

Hegazi was Paul Mardonesque with dropping a bollock per game.

Jonas, GMac and Evans were all a class or 2 above in their prime.

Dawson has also showed this season in the right formation what a good defender he is.

But.

When he was on form, stomping around the box, Hegazi was a joy to watch. That does count for something. There's a reason he was fondly regarded by quite a few here.
