Would love to fit Sancho in against easier opposition and swap for Bellingham

Sterling has been pretty average this year, would be lucky to start for me

I feel for Grealish (slightly) - he’s a very good player but he’s caught in between generations... we still have more experienced players available, or better young prospects who we ought to be building around in his positions. His style also means we’d need to make him the focal point of the team and again, we have better players in those areas. If I were him, I’d have accepted the Irish call up and been their Gareth Bale.

He’s deserving of a squad place, and would always be on the bench as his ability to win freekicks and relieve pressure, as well as in fairness to show up with big moments in big games could be crucial.

Watkins and Mings ought to be left behind, but I think Southgate will take Mings as for some reason he can’t see the blindingly obvious fact that Mings is shite, and not even Villa’s best English CB!
