I can see what they are trying to achieve here. But such a blunt black and white tool will always be shot down unfortunately.

The issue is, and always has been that sexual offences have so much grey area that the burden of proof is always far too great. This and the old adage of 'its better 5 guilty people walk free than 1 innocent get punished' means cases, whether they be genuine or somewhat malicious and fabricated fall through the large grey coloured cracks.

I don't think the idea is a bad one and some form of digital sex contract could be of great protection for men especially who are worried about consent and how to get positive consent.

It's just so open to manipulation. I really don't think after a few drinks a couple are going to sit down together and do whatever needs to be done on this app. This will then be used in court as something damming if the girl turns around and claims that consent wasn't given.

On the flipside, it'll result in the absolute worst of society trying to get access to a girls phone to confirm consent, and in the worst of cases some people may be forced to give consent on the app, which will be used as a defence for sexual predators and rapists.
