They showed a real lack of intensity second half tonight and look like a team lacking a real leader without Hendo and Dick.

Last two seasons they’ve managed 90+ points and picked up their long awaited league title and a Champions League to boot.

Only natural that you start to see a dip in performance after all that.

Mentally it must be really hard to go again... they’ve also failed to really add any big names or improve a squad that’s been very much the same for 3 seasons... plus, Klopp shows absolute faith in his first XI, there isn’t much incentive for squad players to really push to try and win a place.

It wouldn't be so bad for Liverpool, except not only are Man City competing, so are Man Utd and Leicester. This means at the moment they are a very clear 4th best. That's the problem, performance drops just a little and suddenly they fall a long way behind. Injuries haven't been kind, but then, Klopp has hardly given key players any form of rest for over 2 seasons now.

I've just seen that on Bassfook.

How in the name of Shirley Bassey's ironing board do these people pass the "fit and proper persons" test?

Can you do this as a separate thread Dumbo. It's too good to be missed in this.

This is perfectly ok in the eyes of the pricks running the PL? Take a profitable debt free club and turn it into a debt ridden basket case at the swipe of a pen? Brilliant. It could be us next.

Wouldn't be at all surprised to hear the rustle of brown paper bags.

According to The Guardian, Burnley's recent takeover by ALK Capital has left the club £90m worse off and saddled with debt.

The deal was reportedly done using the club's own money and has similarities to the Glazers' leveraged buyout of Manchester United. ?
