Not sure we've gone back to something similar yet. Sadly the investment is significant to do so.

What?

That is exactly what he did.

He put this club back 10.years.

It's also a shame we've resigned ourselves to buying from the Chump, so therefore shopping in a market full of untried players at this level or players who have been relegated from the Premiership

Fucking shambles the lot of em!

Really hoped we'd get back to the Ashworth period 9f finding bargains in Europe. Sadly still not there yet.

Plus we will now be in a much weaker negotiating position with those clubs...it doesn’t look promising

There are plenty of good players to be found in the EFL.
Everton and Villa have just bought 2.
Whether we're scouting them is another issue.

This year did they just think the job was done? Have the scouting department done anything at all?! On the transfer front have they been in bed!? WTF is going on?

1) The top priority was to first secure the players we had last season. Pereira was already done, so that leaves Diangana, Robinson and Krovinovic. We managed to get Diangana tied down which was undoubtedly the success of the window, Sheff Utd would've taken a packet of crisps in exchange for Robinson, but for Krovinovic we had to settle for another loan, so that's 2 out of 3.

2) Beyond that we needed other incomings to give ourselves a chance of staying up. We've signed a 36 year old defender on a free identified by Bilic, a loan deal for Gallagher which was basically Bilic's doing and a player that everyone knew about and Kipre which was an opportunist purchase because he was going on the cheap and Wigan offered him out. It seems like we have no intention of having him near the first 11. Have I missed anyone or is that literally it? Oh yeah, resigning Bond and Button, again because he was cheap.

3) Offloading deadwood. We haven't even managed to do that have we!? Grosicki may be going but undoubtedly contributes more than most of those in the same position that are staying. Are Zohore and Austin still here?

What the hell are we playing at? We can harp on and on about whether we aren't spending enough or whatever, but putting that aside, what the fuck have the scouting team done. There's a whole world of footballers out there and so much to be found overseas. Why have we basically identified and brought in absolutely no one outside of the old, the opportunistically cheap and the obvious; AND we haven't got rid of those we need to.

This has been an absolute failure.

Because this  is Albion its our default position.
