Any idea when it's out?

What are the chances of getting one? (son's Christmas and birthday present).

Like football I know fuck all about these things.

Any help very gratefully appreciated!

Ta.

I'd ask my 10 year old but he's just gone to bed.
He seems to prefer the XBox to others.
My interest in these things ended with the Spectrum 48k and Atari nearly 40 years ago.

New one is out in November, chances of getting one this side of Christmas are zero I’m afraid. The preorders sold out in minutes.

XBones are shit. Give him a clip round the ear buy him a PlayStation (you potentially won't be able to buy him the new one of these this side of Christmas either).

Just so you know, as the console names are very confusing for those not ITK. There are two versions of the new Xbox Console coming out:

The Xbox Series X - £449.99 - The big boy full 4K games, disc drive and more power.
The Xbox Series S - £249.99 - It's little brother, upscales games to 4k, no disc drive.... but still plenty of power

Don't be confused by the Xbox X and Xbox S which are the current older consoles.... you need the word Series in it otherwise it is a older console.... told you it was confusing.

I think the Series X is sold out everywhere but you can still order it from retailers, you just might not make the 10th Nov official release date. Sure there are some Series S about still. You can also try in stores such as Game. As you want it for Christmas, gives you more chance even if you miss the 10th Nov official launch. Think these are still taking preorders, probably others too, Argos mebbes etc:

Microsoft: https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/p/xbox-s...TP9JN/J3W1

Smyths: https://www.smythstoys.com/uk/en-gb/vide...e/p/192247

Game and Smyths are doing a finance deal approved by Microsoft (but not offered on their website for some reason) where you pay £28.99/mo for Series X and £20.99/mo for the Series S. Both with no upfront cost and 0% APR for 24 month. This also includes 2 years subscription Xbox Live (so can play games online) and 2 years of GamePass (worth about £110 a year) which gives access to loads of old and many new games without any extra charge. Worth a look, even if ends up being early next year.

Yep, that's what I've gone for - never had an XBox before but seemed a pretty good deal.

XBox is the Sam Johnstone of the console World.

XBox Series X is what you want, don't get the name wrong or your son will kill you in your sleep. November 10 release date. Extra pre-orders (and PS5) to be announced before we sign 2 strikers. However both Sony and MS said there should be lots of day 1 stock, but some current pre-ordered people are now being told that they won't get theirs until 2021, so it's a case of getting lucky.

If you're genuine, sign up for notifications from Currys / Argos etc... Amazon seem to be one of the main culprits for pushing pre-ordered ones into next year.
