...and Laurie is 2 of them.

Dudley's tennis legend Dorothy RoundĀ also part of an extraordinarily small number commemorating women.

It would be worth calculating the amount of black sports people at the top level during the time period the statues date from and then working out if the % of statues represent over or under in proportional terms vs. white statues.

But who has time?

Thing is, the BBC are making out it's bad etc... However 5 out of 97 seems proportionately right, if possibly high. The article then states most statues don't go up til 20-30years after the player's career ends, so again it's no surprise that there are few right now. I daresay it will increase in due course...

Then again, does this mean we need a Fabien DeFatarse statue to appease some quota or something? Legends deserve statues etc... If there aren't any then don't just erect things just because...

I mean, look how long it took to get Bomber up and the 3 degrees...

The odd one out... is not Bomber or Dorothy. And that's nowt to do with statues.
