That Luton goal means they are not safe yet.

They play Derby on the last day while Luton have Blackburn at home and Charlton are at Leeds, who will most likely have been on the piss all week.

Whatever happens the last day usually produces some drama, let's hope it's all down the bottom!

This'll give the deluded fuckers in B6 a bit of comfort.

Those who beat on Hull going down can start counting their winnings.

They are safe as if bottom three get more than 49 points (which they already have) then Wigans deduction kicks in. Wigan can get max 49 (61 minus 12).

ahhh well, I've never been bothered by Blues (except when some of their fans threatened me and my mate with stanley blades whilst we were waiting for a bus back in the 80s.)

So it only kicks in IF ONE of the bottom three get 49?

Barnsley can only get 49 and Hull 48. Wigan can get 49 so Blues are safe.

Depends how the appeal against the deduction goes.

I'm totally confused, so if Luton get 1 more point then Wigan's deduction kicks in? Excluding any appeals etc...

none of the bottom 3 have 49 yet... Luton can get 51, Charlton can get 51, Blues are on 50. So by virtue of Blues dropping into the relegation place and being on 50 that would mean Wigan's deduction kicks in... jeesh, no wonder they're appealing it, it's bloody contrived as heck.
