If it is any consolation, a manager I once had was threatened with a tribunal, he said `I have been to four and never lost, sod off`. His attitude changed when he lost the fifth. Hope he is now stacking shelves in Poundland.
Incidentally, the remark to the Romanian guy can not be passed off as `I was joking` etc. Workplace `banter` no longer exists, unless the person on the receiving end takes it as such. If needs be, report him to the Police for hate crime if you have no union representation.
