great weekend for our lot, who'd have thought a nil-nil would have been a good result 

anyhow, we're booked up for Lanzarotte in mid August and our final (large) payment is due the end of this week.  we're booked with Jet2

in short we've chewed it over and just don't want to go  but there is very little info available from Jet2 for this scenario, which I don't blame them for as they're desperate for the money.

any advice or suggestions on how to go about "getting out" of this would be greatly appreciated.

Morning mate, we don`t generally book package holidays , tend to find somewhere we like, ( out of the way places usually ), then get flights with Easyjet or Ryanair. From what I can gather from friends etc, if the government relaxes the quarantine rules, and the flight is still going, they will be able to say you have no reason to cancel, Spain, apparently, has said hotels etc can reopen.
My wifes relation has booked a holiday with TUI, reckons getting any answers from them has been a nightmare.
In our case, a house we booked in Valencia refunded us as soon as Ryanair cancelled our flight, getting the cost of the flight back from O`Dreary is more problematic ( we strongly recommend taking a voucher etc ).
If you booked through a travel agent they should be able to offer some help. Hope you can sort things.
