Isn’t that the same as most people including me? I listen to what is said by various people and decide what I think is right. We could listen to the same group of experts and still come out of the meeting disagreeing because we see the World differently.

You and I are never likely to agree because I always start from a position that values liberty above all else. You don't.

The best political decision you can ever hope for is the #LeastWorst one. And whatever that decision is, there will be consequences good and bad.

This argument will always come back to whose liberty? When it impinges or suppresses others liberty it becomes selfish, irresponsible and unfair. 

Currently you could make a reasonable argument that the desire to keep one unelected advisor in power and defend his ‘liberty’ to do whatever he likes we have seen the liberty of the most vulnerable compromised by headline grabbing changes to policy that go against the governments own recent advice.
