Exciting day, but who the hell is going to play regularly? Please advise those who go more regularly than me.
I really, for the life of me cant work out the conundrums, but we have a very strong looking squad.
Going into this window I felt the most important issue was the forwards. I'm happy with Austin and happy Gayle stayed at Toon rather than go to Leeds or another rival. I do wish we could have got Gayle and if we had it would have been the perfect transfer business.
Anyway, it's done now, and after a hugely tumultuous summer, it does look like we have a strong squad and plenty of youth and pace, which we missed last year.
Over 46 games they'll get a great chance to impress.
I have to give us 8 out of 10 for the summer business based on what I know, but after the transfer window of 2017 had many of us thinking about top 8 only to get relegated in horrific style, I'm just hoping the pieces fall into place.
We will miss Gayle and J Rod, but expect we'll get a lot more goals from midfield.
Now for the football.
