No you are right, I have been knee jerking all day and am probably being unrealistic about Gayle. I said fuck all was happening and that was shit, apologies.
Three in today is good business.
The only important thing is, that Slav is happy.
If he is, then that's job done to be honest.
Slav himself is our best signing this season by a country mile.

I too would like to see another striker. Gayle on loan would be perfect. Just don't see Burke and HRK as much of a back-up.

Even if Gayle is a no-go, its worth us trying to get another striker if we can. If we don't then hopefully we'll try again for someone in Jan.

We are still light up top.... as has been said, Austin can't be relied on to play 46 games, and both Zohore and HRK have been known to have their fair share of knocks too.

We're an injury to Austin away from struggling for goals again.

Diangana is a risk, but is explosive and creative, Periera looks really exciting and Austin should be as close to a guarantee in this league as you'll get for goals outside of Gayle.

I still think we're light at right back, and up top, but the additional striker is still the priority.. we're still in a position where if we're chasing a game we have very little I'd be comfortable looking at the bench and thinking "get him on"

To be fair, off the bench HRK is an option, he bullies tired defenders well. We also have plenty of fast players which us the last thing a tired defender wants to see.

Zohore is the battering ram, Austin the finisher, they'll both have their parts to play this season and could even play together.

I’d say we are well stocked for wingers - Phillips, Diagana, Pereira, Edwards, Burke, HRK

Central midfield - Livermore, Sawyers, Harper, Brunt, Ajayi, 

If we don’t bring anyone else in I’d expect Barry to get one more year.

Townsend is competent at RB in emergencies as is Ajai.
