If Ramsay kept us up, would you keep him on?

It's a no from me unless we won at least half the remaining games.

No, not yet. Several games in and we are not getting better fast enough. Although yesterday doesn’t matter much though.

MJ and Heggebø’s form gone, and that was masking a lot. Until yesterday, can’t get the other strikers to tick. Persisting with Imray who might as well be called X-Ray because he should come with a health warning. Defence still shaky. Midfield still clueless. Can’t keep the ball and are as easy to pass through as cutting warm butter with a machete.

He could still turn it around, and change my mind. But all I’m seeing right now is Ryan Mason in a different tracksuit; the difference being that at least Moment Man won on occasion. This plonker has yet to do that.

HH - who would you have played at RB the last few games? Given Campbell is injured, Williams is finding his way back from injury, Bielik was injured and then required to play CB due to everyone else being injured and Gilchrist, yesterday, required to fill in at LB.

A strange thing to beat the new man with.

Probably Price. Mowbray did it enough. Not saying I’d do that forever of course, but I’m very unconvinced by Imray so far.

Big Grin
Once at Burnley, and to be fair he had a good game, although I think it was RWB?  Despite the success of his performance in that position and only Wildsmith giving it away that’s still one of the sticks used to beat the humble, chocolate muncher with.

But in reality, you’d have had to pick Imray.  It’s ok to realise you were wrong in that part of your assessment.

I’m not convinced by Imray either, but he’s at best a Wing Back in his defensive skills, or lack of.

You could play Wallace there, he might not have done it before, but he is a good experienced professional with a very good footballing brain.

Yeah, if that’s what you want I’ll hold my hands up to that he can only work with what he’s got Big Grin

I do understand also that it does nothing for Imray’s confidence to drop him as the only viable option.

So my critique there isn’t necessarily fair nor aimed at ER. But Imray does need a good game under his belt soon. It might also get Gilly to up his game. Anyway, as I’ve said now many times before, losing yesterday to an in-form Norwich in a tournament we don’t need to be in really isn’t the end of the world. And we’re using this topic to detract from the overall argument - it isn’t getting better quickly enough. Yet.

I thought the team had downed tools in protest regarding his team set up but he altered that vs Blues and the team responded with great commitment.

What is bothering me now is that I am not seeing what the game plan is other than to hang on by our fingernails and then hopefully get a luck goal.

Injuries are not helping him but in our position, hanging on is not a viable plan to keep us up.

Looking to next season, I have seen nothing that suggests he is any better than Mason.  His cliche ridden pseudo intellectual analysis of what went wrong and how we get out of it is annoyingly Russell Martin-like.

Incidentally,  Martin has had other things to do since he was sacked from Rangers.

He has married a former page 3 model, Lucy Pinder.  Google her.  You won't be disappointed.

I bet he isn’t. I’d best Google that one on Opera I’m guessing.

Great post fart!

Almost exactly where I am on him. The ambition, possibly driven by how bad the players are, appears to be not to let any in and nick one off a long throw / free kick / corner. It's shit.

I am also deeply concerned by the faux-academic horseshit he continues to spout. Even if it meant anything, which it doesn't, I'm next to certain that the players wouldn't get it.

Should we manage to avoid the drop, which I'm increasingly thinking we won't, then immediately dismiss.  If we do avoid the abyss, then immediately dismiss also.
