Well if they didn't then what's the point in them? This is a blatant 2nd Amendment violation from a government agency authorised by the executive.

As for ICE being Trumps SA, is that not hyperbole? Whatever you think of their training and professionalism, they are enforcing the law of the land over there. You might not agree with it, but states don't get to dictate US migration policy, and the people blocking deportations are obstructing the law - what would your suggestion be?

Would you prefer a comparison to the Gestapo?
I never cease to be amazed at how fucking stupid some people are. I would suggest looking at the new footage from a different angle, but I doubt even that would be of any help to you.

Would love for the apologists to stand before the families of the victims and explain to them why their loved ones deserved to die. Especially by explaining the ‘legit’ part.

When did pumping rounds into an unarmed man on the floor become “enforcing the law of the land”?

A lot of this stems back to the Dems’ inability or reluctance to effectively prosecute Trump following the January 6th riots.

That set the tone for everything that’s happened since.

It's a sad day when I find myself agreeing with the NRA. And it is a very sad day after viewing what happened.

The Democrats really need to have a good look at themselves to lose 2 elections to that clown.

They had four years to string Trump up for something he was guilty of to anyone with eyes. By the time they finally did something it was half arsed as he was being sworn in.

Are you totally ignorant? How you see that as legit? I believe even Specsavers wouldn't have a solution to your eyesight issues. Maybe your eyesight is perfect, however. Which would lead one to question your impartiality in all this.

Stop posting pathetic and fucked up stuff on here. This forum is worthy of better than the shit you espouse.

I think Keith likes to try and take that objective alternative angle. Which is laudable sometimes but ridiculous in this case

You seem to be assuming that what these goons are doing is warranted and legitimate. Neither of those would seem to be true, they're going after people regardless of whether they're established US citizens or not.

Doesn't it occur to you that it's actually nothing more than an attempt by the Administration to stir up disorder and then claim that they need to be there to quell the disorder that they've stirred up, all with the intention of even more draconian action later? ICE/Border Patrol goons will be sent into more and more cities (which just happen to be in swing states) and then Trump will enforce the Insurrection Act to deal with "unrest" which has actually been caused by his goons.

I believe I have been misunderstood. I meant the video looked legitimate (ie not AI generated). I wasn't commenting on the lawfulness of shooting someone based on hearing a shot, just that it provides some additional context as to why it happened (as opposed to they just decided to shoot him because they are evil).

I'm completely open to the possibility that the entire episode in Minnesota is solely to force a political crisis.

Not got a dog in the fight, just trying to be objective.

My main observation is that both 'sides' in the US have not enforced immigration law for decades, and whatever you think of him, Trump was elected on a platform of enforcing immigration law, so presumably a significant % of the US population want that too.

I can understand people objecting to the method employed, in which case I'd ask what the proposed alternative is?

If people are objecting to the policy outright, then there's a fundamental problem, as politically that's not how it works in the US and as mentioned before it starts to look a lot like the run up to their civil war (personally I don't think it'll come to that, he's doing too much other mad stuff to retain credibility with a sufficient % of the population sufficient for them to risk dying for him).
