I have to agree with the slaughtering of Mepham.
He seems not only physically, but mentally, piss weak.

He sees WBA as a meal ticket and is coasting along, ticking over, making sure he doesn'l get injured, pre his only possible WC appearance.

Putting biases aside. Taylor, Bartley, Holgate, Ajayi and Heggem were all way better than Mepham

Our defensive options this season seem to be a massive downgrade on what we had last year which is a pretty poor reflection on our summer transfer dealings. The fees we got for Heggem and Caleb Taylor have basically been pissed away on paying for Gilchrist, Mepham, Phillips, Bielik and Campbell (the latter two have been ok tbf) and bringing in Taylor on loan and the relatively huge contracts these players are on (we're paying in the region of £150k p/w for that motley crew (excluding Campbell) if you believe what you read in certain places.

I had high hopes for him after a glowing report from a Mackem fan I work with. He started off really well, but he's been awful the last couple of months. How this guy has won 50 caps for Wales, I have absolutely no idea. Needs to be taken out of the firing line with immediate affect.
