Team for Tuesday?
#21
I’m hoping we show less respect on Tuesday, and really go for it. We (understandably) allowed Boro to grow into it in the first half to the extent they enjoyed something like 70% possession, and all they had to show for it was a jammy first goal. But besides Heggebø picking their CHs pocket and another chance shortly after, we didn’t ask enough questions ourselves from minutes 16-45. Norwich won’t be anywhere near as well organised.

No reason not to really go for it on Tuesday night. We started yesterday night very well, but Boro figured out that it was an unfamiliar line-up pretty quickly. It took for us to be two down to really react to that.

Norwich are improving. 13 points in 7 games. It’s not going to be easy.

True - there are no easy games in this league (or so the cliche goes). I really hope we aren’t going to pay the penalty for giving Mason too much time to mess things up.

We are bottom 3 on form table, with Mason we would have gone down without doubt. The glimmer we now have is a new man who seems like he knows what he’s doing in only one game. Tighten the defence and get a few clean sheets wouldn’t go amiss. 3 huge games coming up. If we can get beat Norwich and Portsmouth things will look far better. Think we need a CH,a goalkeeper and a CM

Problem is I reckon what little transfer kitty we may have had is currently being spent on some THFC-branded gardening shears. Some fresh blood would certainly help though.

Is there any update on Mowatt & Molumby availability?

I hope so. I want Molumby at RWB.

I would go with that, with Molumby and Price interchanging down the right and grant bursting forward from CM.

Molumby at RWB?  Has he ever played in that position? He should walk back into central midfield and that team will get overran when out of possession. Good luck Mowatt… jeeze

An interesting formation. My only gripe would be - despite having the legs for the role - is Molumby good enough at centring the ball? For me, his bigger strengths are breaking up play, and he is pretty quick on the turnover (he does turn pretty quickly TBF). Neither of those attributes would be much use playing RWB.

If only Jed were ten years younger (despite looking at least 5 years older!) than he is.

Grant and price are grafters off the ball and can get back in if the counter press fails.

Molumby can tuck in and support as needed too. Molumby is 10x more suited to RWB than MJ IMO.
