Can't wait for her first meeting with the German, Finnish, Swedish and Polish head of states. Or when she has to represent Ireland at something concerning Syria.

I hope the Tánaiste can act fast enough to stop her embarrassing the country.

Further misunderstanding. If there were a meeting of important policy matters, Harris would be attending - not as
Tàniste, but as Minister of Foreign Affairs.

She will not embarrass Ireland. Unlike Keef. Who is an utter embarrassment - domestically and internationally.

As for your list -  that clapped out and tired set of allegations was made by a lot of the Irish right wing media. They couldnt make it stick and the Irish public saw for what it was and it really isnt worthy of a response.

Here is her response to your Assad nonsense for example.
“I know that it was an absolute, brutal dictatorship in Syria, which I abhor and abhorred. Now we have to remember that various members of Irish government, and particularly Micheál Martin, actually met with Assad. I’ve never done anything like that. I went for a specific purpose.”

I am not Connollys election agent. I don't need to defend her. What this vote is about is showing FG Blueshirts and FF Tories - who have stitched the country up for 100 years of failure - that their time is coming to end.

I am going to leave it at that and let you get up early to read your Mail on Sunday.

Micheàl Martin met with Assad in 2009. Connolly visited Syria in 2018 well after Assad's genocide was known and she was shown around Aleppo by someone sanctioned by the EU for their close ties to Assad (someone who called to rape and kill everyone who is anti-Assad) and Connolly failed to condemn Assad until she was scrutinised on it a few months ago. The purpose of that visit was to criticise the EU for applying sanctions on Assad's genocidal regime which she failed to condemn for 7 years after her visit despite being a TD that entire time. Excuse me for not taking her word sincerely. That's also not to mention her blaming the EU and NATO for Ukraine being invaded and her comparison to Nazi Germany for NATO countries responding to a direct threat to them. Her foreign policy instincts are absolutely awful, I sincerely hope the Irish government keep her on a tight leash to prevent her embarrassing the country.

Your excuse for her is a bit like pretending Farage isn't pro-Russia to be honest because he called to shoot down Russian planes the other day.

I don't think whichever candidate the Irish left chose would have made any difference. This vote, in reality, was all about what is going on domestically in Ireland. In terms of figurehead for Ireland, the foreign policy would be the same irrespective of who it is. Ireland isn't in NATO and doesn't have to tow the West line. Neutrality is held dear.  Ireland was one of the first out the traps to recognise Palestine as a state. Those things wouldn't change as FG, FF and the general population are pretty much on the same page. Though I wonder if neutrality might shift given the mad state of the world.

As for Connolly, we will see. Her main role is to keep the USA sweet and maintain FDI- which is solely keeping Ireland afloat. I don't worry about her embarrassing anybody. I do worry about her setting Trump off on one.

It's shouldn't be surprising to find out, seeing as I've said it many times, but I'm from good Irish stock and the grandson of an immigrant. My Dad was the 1st of my family born in England.

As for defending the indefensible, coming from the bloke that defends Israel and Flag Shaggers the irony is off the scale.

Gotta be honest Jacko, this place has been a cesspit lately and what with all the personal insults flying around it's hard to see any whoosh these days.
