Does the right thing and elects Mamdani. The place that I have spent most time in when not at home. Optimistic for my family and friends there.
Dems did well elsewhere too.

Slightly lifts the gloom of Trump and Starmer. Only Slightly.

With Reform losing in Wales last week and now this there is optimism that hopefully right wing populism is finally being rejected.

Hopefully the backlash is building. The biggest problem on both sides of the Atlantic is that the opposition is too amorphous, it requires a strong figurehead and, in this day and age, easily digestible slogans and slick social media campaigning.
