Agree with your ratings and bang average assessment but thought Mepham, Phillips and MJ all were 7 and it might be heresy but Price was no better than a 5

Lots of people giving the performances 6's&7's (rightly so, BTW) for last night, but equally lots of people want the starting lineup ripped apart and for un-tried players to take their place.

Make it make sense! Big Grin

They can only become tried players if you play them and give them time on the pitch. Your pal Fellows was once an untried player, how do we know it won't make us better if we don't play them

I thought we played ok last night, but for 2 superb instinctive saves by their GK, we would have won. I think with a tweak (see my comment on other thread), we can create a bit more. Can't disagree with the ratings (except maybe 7 for Styles), nobody stunk the place out. We could have a very good season (just put players in their best positions).

Fellows worked his way into the lineup. He wasn't thrown in to replace a player that was playing well and didn't deserve to be dropped, which is what people are suggesting with Mowatt/Molumby and Collyer.

To drop either of those and throw Collyer in the lineup next Friday would be utter madness.

All those players were closer to 5s than 7s. OPs marks are very generous.

My group were saying during the game last night that he was the best of the attacking players last night without being excellent.  The ball in for Price was the best pass of the night. However, the fact that we all thought he was our best attacker was a concern to us. Jed should be merely bench back up, nothing more.

For about 45 mins before he got subbed Wallace was the only player creating anything, unlucky to be subbed. He’s was poor against Derby but not last night

He was one of our better players last night

Johnston was excellent when he came on & both should have stayed on

I've seen nothing of Collyer (in admittedly his brief cameos) to suggest he's worthy of dropping either Molumby or Mowatt. I'm in agreement with you on a lot things lately, most disconcerting  Wink

Wallace was no worse than Molumby or Mowatt yesterday
