What I found encouraging
#1
Early days and I’m not sure Blackburn will be top half but very encouraging nonetheless. We came out of the blocks quickly and had purpose and played higher up the pitch.

There was no dull sideways passing and suffocation of possession to send the opposition to sleep and Ryan was true to his word - he wants winning football. When we didn’t get the second and the players tired, we were happy to defend and put our bodies on the line.

We’ve had nothing about projects, no ego-driven styles of play and no releasing inner children (Pah) yet I enjoyed that football.

Off the ball shape and organisation was encouraging. This team know what they're doing off the ball.

There was a real structure and purpose about us today.

Feeling particularly lazy tonight, so thank you for saying exactly what I was thinking too.

What I found encouraging was a fantastic spruced up ground and Vegan pies and samosas ! Not forgetting bar in the Eaststand after full time with half price pies. Fantastic Albion much appreciated!

A very constructive and hard working display, no thrill’s but some constructive play, whether it be short or long passing.
On that display we will be hard to beat and in the first half we created some good chances, with a couple of new signings we will be a very decent squad. Happy baggie today.

Mason is interesting. There’s something there but he’s not a big character. He wasn’t happy about the performance, particularly in the first half and also at the very end of the second half. I’ll be interested to see how he gets the players to understand what he wants. There are comparable traits to Corberan, which can’t be too much of a bad thing.

Ultimately, I agree with Clem. A bit quicker, a bit more forward thinking. Price is special, may just need someone behind/in front to compliment.
